DH Upgrade points for U17 Sport Men, Junior Sport Men, and Senior Men / Women are now available. Click here to download in PDF format. Riders must upgrade upon earning 20 points.
Note: Without exception, BC Cup points are earned in the category in which you raced, including the case of registration mistakes that were not caught prior to the event in question. While Cycling BC will do everything possible to avoid errors, the onus is ultimately on the rider to ensure that their license category is correct and that they are correctly registered for each event.
Note: Senior Men and Senior Women wishing to upgrade early may be able to do so. Click here for the procedure and application form. All applications must be accompanied by a $10 non-refundable application fee and all of the information required by the form. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Note: In case of a category upgrade, BC Cup points are not transferred to the new category.
DH BC Championship: The DH BC Championship will be held at Mt. Washington on August 25 (same race as the BC Cup Event).
Notice to any riders planning on visiting Quebec for a DH race… the Quebec federation has advised us that they have increased the protective equipment standards beyond what is specified in the UCI rules for their races. Therefore, any rider racing in Quebec will be subject to these equipment standards. The standards are effective immediately (April 26, 2011). You can download the standards here: http://www.fqsc.net/sites/default/files/infoprotectiondh-en.pdf
Note: Use of Mobile Phones, Music Players, and Video Cameras is forbidden while practicing or racing. Click here for the text of the rule and the reasons for it.
